An Australian manufacturer has begun marketing the so-called “Sundicators”. These are stickers that are placed on the clothes or on the skin and which can be applied even to sun-cream. When the color of the sticker changes, it is the signal to cover the skin with more protective cream or, directly, with some piece of clothing. These stickers, one single use and water-resistant, have been very well received by families, schools and organizers of outdoor activities, which can be quiet in relation to children’s sun exposure.
Skin cancer is the most frequent in Australia, to the point that two out of three Australians will be diagnosed with skin cancer before reaching 70 years. In Catalonia the figures are not so high but the cases detected are tripled every 10 years. 90% of all cases could be simply eliminated with prevention and early detection.
